Intel at CES* 2019

Last week at CES* 2019, Intel announced a number of inspiring and exciting technology advancements. Not the least of these is the addition of six new members of the 9th Gen Intel® Core™ desktop processor family. These processors will create more opportunities to reach more customers.

New 'F' SKU Designator

The new desktop processors span the Intel® Core™ i3 to i9 processor lineup and add to the three “K” SKUs launched in late 2018.

Here they are:

The “K” at the end of the SKU indicates that the processor can be overclocked1, and the “F” indicates that it doesn’t feature integrated graphics. These “F” SKU processors are great choices for customers who know that they will be using dedicated graphics. They don’t have to pay for technology they won’t use, but they won’t be sacrificing performance.2

These new processors are scheduled to roll out as soon as the end of this month and continue throughout Q1 of 2019. As with the first release of the 9th Gen Intel® Core™ processors in 2018, these latest processors are designed to support all customer needs from casual computing to professional content creation and high-end gaming.

There was also a seventh processor introduced at CES* for the 8th Gen processor family. The new Intel® Core™ i3-8100F processor, without integrated graphics, will soon be released as well. Stay tuned for more info on new mobile 9th Gen Intel® Core™ processors. They’re coming in Q2!

Software and workloads used in performance tests may have been optimized for performance only on Intel microprocessors. Performance tests, such as SYSmark* and MobileMark*, are measured using specific computer systems, components, software, operations and functions. Any change to any of those factors may cause the results to vary. You should consult other information and performance tests to assist you in fully evaluating your contemplated purchases, including the performance of that product when combined with other products.
