This year, the new desktop Intel® Core™ i9 X-series processor family will provide your customers with even more possibilities to create amazing experiences. The 10-core Intel® Core™ i7-6950X processor released last year exceeded expectations and provided the first glimpse into the new capabilities available on desktop PCs.
Intel is extending the success of the Intel® Core™ X-series processors with the Intel® Core™ i9 X-series processor family. The 10-core Intel® Core™ i9-7900X processor was recently launched and the new Intel® Core™ i9 X-series processors, that range from 12 cores to 18 cores, will be available to you and your customers soon.
These include the following processors:
Intel® Core™ i9-7920X processor
Intel® Core™ i9-7940X processor
Intel® Core™ i9-7960X processor
Intel® Core™ i9-7980XE processor
There will be two groups of users in particular who will want to get their hands on PCs powered by these new processors.
Enthusiasts such as high-end video gamers who need seamless, smooth play plus the ability to simulcast their games on the Internet while performing additional tasks, such as chatting and browsing.
Creatives such as content creators who are building virtual reality (VR) and UHD 4K video content and have an insatiable thirst for more and faster processing cycles.
Intel estimates there are at least 130 million content creators alone who could potentially upgrade to one of the latest Intel® Core™ X-series processors.
